June 2026

June 25 – Thanks to an interagency program among the animal services teams from Garland, Wylie, Richardson, and Royce City, Texas Livestock Protection presented a training session on cruelty to livestock, giving animal services professionals a deeper dive on what to look for when investigating equine cases.

June 26 – Texas Livestock Protection Association and American Humane Society assisted Comal County in the removal of eight miniature horses in deplorable conditions.
June 5 – Comal County Sheriff’s Department and the American Humane Society in conjunction with Texas Livestock Protection Association in a combined effort seized 24 horses from a cruelty/neglect situation after a multi-year investigation.

Texas Livestock Protection Association, in partnership with Brazoria County-based Habitat for Horses, provided vaccinations for horses in Habitat’s care.

December 2025
On December 4, Texas Livestock Protection Association assisted the Gonzales County Precinct 4 Constable’s Office with the removal of animals from Meadow Heaven Horse Rescue. TLPA worked in coordination with American Humane Society, five equine vets, and a number of trusted animal rescue partners and volunteers. As this is an ongoing cruelty and neglect situation, TLPA cannot provide further details at this time but is ensuring the nutrition and veterinary care of all animals removed from the property.
October 2025
Texas Livestock Protection Association assisted Dallas Police in the removal of eight severely neglected longhorns, including two calves. Custody was awarded to TLPA.


August 2025

Texas Livestock Protection Association assisted Dallas Police in the seizure of nine severely neglected adult horses and one foal. Custody of the horses was awarded to TLPA.
